Ysgol Llangefni

Llangefni held a range of non competitive events during the summer term for boys and girls. They ensured equal playing time for every player and the focus was on enjoyment and fun.

Teacher Gethin Francis said

"We were awarded enough to be able to buy a new Macron kit which has not happened in my time here at the school.

Our students really benefitted from the range of activities . We've seen more girls and boys continue with playing as we normally see a drop off. "

The #chwarae #play programme worked really well for a big school like ours. We have a large amount of players wanting to play. Each student had the chance to participate at lunchtimes and after school in non competitive environments with a focus on enjoyment.

We held a range of non competitive events in forms and we enjoyed a enter all mini World Cup. We also took our teams to play with other RCT based schools to fun festivals held by RCT Schools FA.

WSFA kindly rewarded us with a Macron kit voucher and we bought a new kit which we have required since becoming a new school. The kit has been used by girls and boys right the way across KS3.

What a wonderful initiative WSFA have with Macron Neath which offered us the opportunity to purchase this kit. This has been a huge bonus as we needed to renew out playing kit, as the financial crisis grips schools we are truly grateful to be a recipient of this.

The students at Aberdare boys and girls have made good use of the kit so far as  they show their pride in representing their school in fresh new colours!
